WineLog

A closed-beta tasting journal that turns every bottle into a structured, comparable entry.

WineLog is a private tasting journal for people who want to leave scattered notes, spreadsheets, and phone photos behind. Each entry walks you through a WSET-inspired workflow covering context, appearance, nose, palate, assessment, and reflections so your notes stay consistent and easy to compare over time.

Completed tastings sit inside a personal cellar where you can browse by wine, quality, or occasion, then export a clean Markdown recap for sharing or longer write-ups. The experience is intentionally calm: a logo-first home screen, a guided stepper for new entries, and detail views that break dense data into readable sections and chips.

Under the hood, React and Vite power the front end alongside a light design system of tokens, shared buttons, and a custom SVG icon set to keep interactions consistent across desktop and mobile. Admin tooling and an invite-only onboarding flow make it easy to run a tightly scoped beta without opening the app publicly.

WineLog is currently in closed beta while I refine the workflow, palette, and search and filter behavior with a handful of tasters. If you would like to try it, send me a note and I can share an invite plus a short onboarding walkthrough.
